I recently recalled my one month overseas trip few years ago. My family and I lived out of hotels/inns. The best thing about hotels that could happen is that each day someone would come to tidy the room, pick up the towels, vacuum the carpet and change the sheets.
Hotels are nice simply because they are different from homes. They have wall-mounted hair dryers that roar so loud as to damage your hearing and yet simultaneously so weak as to have no effect on your hair. Well, on my hair at least. They have bath tubs without non-slips mats and sometimes you step inside and slip. They even have beds with sheets tucked so tightly that your feet are pressed flat out to the side. This reminds me of ancient Egyptians. Ha Ha. I remember how it would take me 5 minutes to hunt down the switch that controlled the entryway lamp.
The most scandalous of all! The infamous shower head. I mean this in a very clean way. :D
I dislike hotel shower heads. They are mounted onto the wall. Sometimes, turning the knob to the left makes the water come out softer. Sometimes, the water becomes scalding. Some showers deliver a weak drizzle while others come out in a forceful blast. And what is most irritating about the mounted shower heads is that they cannot be detached. Lol. :D Get the joke?
Well, maybe the sadists made shower heads this way; so they can save on water bills.
Another thing I remember, is the special lighting they put over the mirror. They highlight my eye bags and make me look like Britney Spears without make-up. Just kidding...
Now, how about hmm, toilet rolls in homes. I have this rule in my house. Whoever finishes the roll will replace it with a new one. Often, we always feel that we are the ones using the last square piece. When you reach out to get some of those paper towels and you see that its finishing, you either try to use the minimum or you forgo it. Sometimes, you forget that it's the last piece and you tear it away. You grudgingly walk to the cupboard to get a new one...sounds familiar?
